Came fir His people but His people never knew,

Whom He was or what they had to do…

Tio behold His glory, turn and be healed…

Demons and devils knew He was the holy One revealed.

Faithful people waited and saw His day,

Some held the Baby before they passed away…

a few learned to trust Him with their very lives

Some men gave Him everything, including the chance for wives.

But many more clamored for His healing touch,

Said that they loved Him but only so much…

Stayed with Him for years, as long as they were fed

but ran away speedily before He rose from the dead!

This Christmas are you willing to let the Babe come in,

Be your Lord and Savior, cleansing you of sin…

Or is your soil too shallow for any kind of yield

Are you going to leave Him gleaning souls far afield?
