Sleep addiction
I am a great fan of sleep. If I am given an opportunity to sleep, I will have no difficulty to remain sleeping for many hours. This type of love for sleep can be troublesome.
Laziness
Spending too much time in bed is a sign of laziness. The lazy person seeks more excuses for sleeping. There is one quote in proverbs 24:33-34. It describes the habits of a lazy person. The lazy person is slack towards his own work. He postpones his jobs.
Consequences of laziness
The scripture warns that such kind of laziness will invite poverty. Suppose, a farmer doesnβt do his job in the due time, then he will never have grains for the off season. He will be pushed in to poverty.
