From The Darkness Into The Light

Victory Over Guilt 

One of Satan’s goals is for us to live in the darkness of guilt from our pasts. Satan knows that even if we believe that Jesus died for our sins, but still carry the guilt of our sin, we won’t truly receive the blessing and freedom of His forgiveness. We’ll live in the shadow of our worst sin. In John 9:5, Jesus refers to Himself as the Light of the world. But in Matthew 5:14 and 16, Jesus also said, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden…In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Jesus would never expect us to be a light for His glory if He didn’t provide a way out of the darkness of guilt.
