A REAL PROBLEM FOR WE “EXPERIENCED” CHRISTIANS—THINKING WE’VE “HEARD IT ALL BEFORE”—WHEN WE REALLY HAVEN’T!
During this past week, weeks before, and coming days the message of our Savior will be discussed a lot. The only problem I see with this, and in any case, when we go over scripture, is that we do not always apply what we read or hear.
We do not always connect.
We do not always try to understand.
Somehow we have found repeating stories to become dry, watered down, and a barrier is made. A veil covering our eyes, ears, and hearts.
There are certainly a number of scriptures that are harder to relate to, but anything regarding Christ shouldn’t be. Miracles, accusations, deep lessons, and hypocrites getting called out…there’s a lot of drama and excitement bundled all together.
It’s really sad that the stories we “veteran” Christians are aware of somehow have detached from the true meaning. We read these truths with a desensitized heart. It’s similar to…
