am i happy?



so is happiness a feeling or a state of mind? many of us confuse the two, and i for one am one of those people.

feelings are temporary. there may be things that you do or things people say or do for you that make you feel happy, but in reality those feelings of happiness fade away. happiness is most definitely a state of mind and lies within our control to increase or decrease it.

our goal as human beings is not to feel happy but instead to experience happiness, even if it is only for a little while.

while that goal may not seem achievable due to what society portrays in social media, everyone should have it within themselves to experience happiness. and sometimes, it is hard to have that mentality of being happy but i believe and think it may be worth it in the end.
