GREAT WORK!!!
Gasping and quivering
I sprint to the seas,
Floating up and down
the alleys.
Breakdowns at one ,
Mendings by three.
The waves roll up
rocking me to sleep.
“Too much has happened
and I cannot breathe,
With eyes out there shooting with rejection
I cannot see! “
I weep.
“So O! water
if I jump,
Please let me sink.
I’ve had enough of this world
And I do not wish to swim.”
Choking out words
from a debris ,
I speak.
An ichor fills my chest
as I weep.
The water ,
The sea,
still pays no heed.
Just keeps humming under its breath
a deep melancholy,
” O! my dear child I cannot take you in,
Survival is the word.
And Survive you will.
Tonight, you may be drowning but you’re not dying,
so please.
Do not give up on life without even trying to swim”
It repeats.
