Troubles rarely call a break,

Even for holidays’ sake…

It’s not right or wrong

To admit you;re not strong,

Having to pull up a stake.

Thankful for what’s here,

Knowing that God is near…

Those all alone

May choose a good Home,

If by Messiah they steer.

Thankful for trouble and gloom

More is there than assumed…

Those in Christ

Learn sacrifice

As more of their heart makes room!

Thanksgiving for a new day,

Another chance to walk His Way…

For maturity

By every dark part of the day!

Praise in reflection

Life’s imperfection…

Yet we live

The adventure to drive,

Until death’s intervention!

Be thankful one day at a time,

For your life, harsh or sublime…

God in heaven

To us life has given,

You and whomever is thine!
