Snow falls from blue skies

Melting as fast as it lands

Becoming puddles

For Jack frost to freeze.

Autumn loves frozen rain drops

That shine like diamonds

In the early morning light.

Snow flakes amuse her

She melts them for Jack.

About Jonathan Caswell

Poet, author, servant of God the Heavenly father and the Lord Jesus Christ...working out his salvation with fear and trembling. - Not trusting in his own deeds, but depending totally upon the finished sacrificial work of Jesus Christ to be, by God's reckoning, a new creature, clothed in Christ's righteousness...which mortal humankind can never attain by their own weak efforts, apart from faith in Christ's work on our behalf. - College-educated, yet wise enough to see that what a man does will not be his ultimate identity nor affect how God sees him or her. - Called by God to do a very difficult thing...apart from God's grace, mercy and love the sinner (which we all--by nature--are) but hate the sin, which is only paid through Christ, God's Son, - My own God-given gift is that of being a Poet..showing that in all parts of life...God has a loving part in hard as that is to always understand or perceive...given life's realities! Come join me on my journey of discovery?.

I too was blessed with the poetry bug. Been writting since childhood, never made money doing it but. I’ve been published and a lot of people seem to like my work.. Have written many poems for people in memory of loved ones, many were strangers knocking on my door asking for them, lyrics too.,
Poet will be etched in my tombstone for sure someday.

On mine, as well, I think! :0) Our calling, as you say! I’ve also done poems for people…have a hard time writing about romantic love. Not wired for that anymore! 😀 And it’s too personal an effort for me!

        Poems declared romantic,
        Rapidly become pedantic…
        Long ago
        THEN they flowed,
        Now, they drive him frantic!

        Love is more often doing,
        Rather than hot-heavy wooing…
        Loving my wife
        The rest of my life,
        A commitment of my choosing!
–Jonathan Caswell (my strength is in limerick poetry) 😀
