WE LIVED ON THE GROUNDS…

As the poet expounds,

His family lived on the grounds…

Of a New York State

Former Inebriate,

Asylum, or within its bounds.

His Dad, a Protestant Chaplain,

Kept up with what was happening…

His wife—the boy’s Mom–

Helped minister on,

The minister in his chaplaining!

AND BELOW…is an intersection sign (one of this blog’s current Header Images) from the State Hospital where my Dad and Mom and us two boys lived.
