The Talk

So today I finally had the talk with my dad. In my head I had planned and replayed this talk over at least a hundred times. On paper I had thoroughly planned for every possible outcome and response I could think of, but as you know life can decide to have fun on your account anytime.

I had told two of my closest friends of my intention to drop out of law school and follow my dreams of entrepreneurship, they got the memo.

Now it was time to tell my father (again) and this is how that conversation went.

Me: Dad, I want to talk to you.

Dad: Jah.

Me: Next year I don’t want to go to school, I don’t want to study anymore.

Dad: What do you want to do?

Me: I want to get into business.

Dad: What kind of business?
