Righteous Anger—who can see

That Jesus got mad righteously…

A withered hand

Healed on demand,

Angered at their blind legality!

He cleared the Temple twice,

Angered at deceitful avarice…

False exchange

Priest arranged,

At an inflated price!

Whenever people were hurt

Jesus had an anger spurt…

Poor people shafted

While the “righteous” laughed it

Off, THEN Jesus’ anger burnt.

In anger he dissed no one,

But righteousness was His run…..

Pulled no punches

At Pharisee lunches,

His Way spoke compassion!

Can we burn righteously?

Yes—if motives are holy!

People who hate

And others berate,

Irk me especially!

I don’ t hate LGBTQs,

Except those who refuse…

Civil comport

Shouting from an armed fort,

“The other side don’t have a right to choose!”

Oppression and hateful expression,

Forcing disagreement suppression…

Get me going

And juices flowing,

In this world, deceit is in constant progression!

Girls under threat of boys who legally get

To claim “female” and yet..

Ogle the real

With no appeal

For those girls justifiably upset.

Sex traders lie,

To families and buy..

Children as sex slaves

Till disposed of in graves,

Won’t anyone hear their cry?

Many Christians insist on judging,

While Jesus’ word they’re fudging…

Yes, there’s grace,

But someday we’ll face

God’s judgement for all our grudging!

First Peter 4: 17-18…God’s judgement begins in His own House–in the Church!

About Jonathan Caswell

Poet, author, servant of God the Heavenly father and the Lord Jesus Christ...working out his salvation with fear and trembling. - Not trusting in his own deeds, but depending totally upon the finished sacrificial work of Jesus Christ to be, by God's reckoning, a new creature, clothed in Christ's righteousness...which mortal humankind can never attain by their own weak efforts, apart from faith in Christ's work on our behalf. - College-educated, yet wise enough to see that what a man does will not be his ultimate identity nor affect how God sees him or her. - Called by God to do a very difficult thing...apart from God's grace, mercy and strength...to love the sinner (which we all--by nature--are) but hate the sin, which is only paid through Christ, God's Son, - My own God-given gift is that of being a Poet..showing that in all parts of life...God has a loving part in it...as hard as that is to always understand or perceive...given life's realities! Come join me on my journey of discovery?.
