The little guys—business folk–
View it as a painful eye poke…
Being shut down
Make the rich frown
As they lounge in their hot tub soak.
Doing what seems right for disease
Is overcome by pleas…
Not asking for aid
But allow us be paid,
By our own sweat—will you please?
Even though some were missed
In red tape, politicos wished…
To get bigger pieces
Of funding specious,
Tangled up in a free-for-all kiss.
But what of a second, third, wave?
Will shutdown be possible to save…
People from dying
In the home of the free and the brave?
No easy solutions..are there?
