Where, when, and how, do we attain excellence in any area of life?

Is it just me or has anyone else ever done this? I’m only sharing this to explain the message, because it’s slightly embarrassing.
If you know me personally you probably know, when it comes to dating and relationship, I was always an over the top, unrealistic standards, kind of girl. While it never intrigued me in the past to take a second look at men I have encountered and met, I have often in the past wondered how the Christian men I found admirable or husband-material, chose their wives.
Ie. Matthew McConaughey, Carl Lentz, Matt Lanter, Stephan Curry, Chad Michael Murray, are some that I found seem like husband material men. (Of course I’m speaking entirely from the limited information that we get from social media, and media).
