Oh, the deceptive beauty of sin
The devil’s design to entice us in.
The evil one, that father of lies,
Does rejoice as our resolve dies.
He strives hard our minds to fool,
That he may impose his evil rule.
Trying to keep the dark of night,
And make wrong to appear right.
Breaking the years of devotions
He plays on fears and emotions.
And good men will be lead astray,
When they forget how to pray.
How easily the eye is deceived,
As the lies we start to believe.
When we listen to lying words,
Forgetting God’s promise heard.
