need to lay down

He has…to…lay down…

Nerves are shot all around……

Each arm shakes

And his mood quakes,

Striving to find solid ground.

Admitting his weakness there,

Treating himself with care…….

Hitting his head

With his fist in bed,

Softly—-taking care.

Parkinson’s has a cost,

For him, faculties gradually….

Going away

Day by day,

Easily over-glossed!

Jonathan Caswell

I guess the author would classify this as a “Hypothetical Poem”, so Friends don’t worry or take it too seriously
