Bushehr is an important part of the Persian Gulf. It has beautiful sandy beaches that attracted tourists back in the day who would come to see beautiful views of the Persian Gulf.

Fridays are the “weekend” in Iran. We had family gatherings and picnics every single Friday.

On a Friday we went to the beach. As we spread the picnic set, a family came near us and settled there.

They had three sons close to our age so all the adults and kids quickly became friends.

They were from the capital of Iran and had recently moved to Bushehr because of their second son’s health condition. The mother said that their second son had severe Asthma, and doctors had suggested that living near the sea would help calm it. Both parents were teachers, they had started teaching in Bushehr…
