Morning Shenanigans


The Lightening bug

With the continuous croaking of the alarm, I am jilted away from my dreamless slumber. While rubbing my eyes, a realization dawned, I am late for the class, again! Pacing around the room, I got ready as as fast as I could. I sheepishly smiled my friend’s glare away; attending morning lecture is a tedious mundane task.

We looked at the clock and rushed like second’s hand. I wonder why, the classroom seems too far today? A minute past the time and the door was shut on our lovely faces.

Ugh! What a day it is, I mumbled. My friend shot me another icy glare. I meekly said, “Let’s look at the brighter side, we were hungry as hell and now we can have breakfast afresh!” Hearing about food had her mind got refreshed and we left, arguing about the menu, forgetting we were just thrown out of lecture.
