Merry Christmas with Jesus



I'm not really wishing. Exchanging hugs and kissing. I'm not going out of my way. On this specific day. Barely any decorations. Made no fancy preparations. No new gown today. Like the fun old days. I stopped distributing goodies. So I don't have anymore Christmas cookies. I didn't target a basket of sweets. For a specific date or deadline to meet. Christmas, like the last half decade. Is just in my heart, unlike a charade. No more big fancy show. No longer celebrating with gusto. It's like those years just disappeared. And Christmas became personal or weird. Long ago Christmas felt like a holiday. Something to fuss over, sing and dance and play. So if you're alone this Christmas. Just remember it's all about Jesus. It's not about the glitter and cheer.
