A question which comes forth over and over is about surrender in life.

Shall I surrender?

To whom?


May I in all humility answer this question, which every seeker asks.

What is surrender? Is it, not doing anything?

Surrender in the spiritual sense is not about not doing or being inert. The greatest prophets have never been men or women of inaction. Mother Teresa always spoke about surrender, yet she worked tirelessly. The Gurus of Sikhism, Jesus, Lord Krishna; every one of them worked more than any ordinary human.

The nuance of surrender is the non attachment to the result.

I work very hard in my business. Unfortunately, the result is not to my liking. Surrender implies that I do not despair. In faith and trust, I get up and develop the ability to see the open and closed doors of life. I work again and…
