Summer is already around the corner, as the mercury is rising my city. Though I miss winters terribly in Mumbai, there are certain things about summer that are there for me here all the year round. One of them is lassi. Lassi is a yogurt based refreshing drink which can be sweet or salty, or made with a combination of fruits and yogurt. Besides keeping you cool, this drink is loaded with the good bacteria that aid in digestion keep your gut healthy. There are elaborate traditional methods of preparing this drink in India. However, I will share with you the simplest way to make it in this blog.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Serves: 4 glasses

Ingredients:

Whisked yogurt 2 and 1/2 cups

Ice cubes 5-6

Water 2 cups

Sugar 1/4 cup

Crushed nuts (pistachio, almond, cashew)

Saffron strands 3-4

Rose water 1/2 teaspoon
