Best Children’s Books for Saint Patrick’s Day


You Make it Beautiful

Out of all the holiday’s, Saint Patrick’s Day has been the hardest, for me, to find good children’s books. There are many bad Saint Patrick’s Day books for kids. Books that are just silly with cheap graphics. Books that don’t really teach anything about the holiday. I was surprised at my own public library’s lack of quality Saint Patrick’s Day books. Being of Irish Heritage, it was important for me to find books that taught the culture and history to my children. After much digging around and reading reviews, I have collected and recommend these eight books.

  1. A Fine St. Patrick’s Day by Susan Wojciechowski and illustrated by Tom Curry – This book is a winner for sure. It has beautifully illustrated photos and tells an entertaining story with an important lesson.
