THEY SAID IT COULDN’T BE

They said it couldn’t be done,

The walk was too long for him…..

Needing supplies

He set his eyes

To completing the entire run.

To town, down and back,

Stubbornly giving it a crack….

At his pace

Set his face,

To buy whatever he lacked.

With a new card food stamps lost,

On the old balance is a high cost……

Spend what we can

Is the plan,

The Rubicon’s been crossed!
