LIKE A COMMUTE ON INDIA’S RAILWAYS???

More hair-raising every year,

At least to this older guy…

Twenty-five miles

Of various trials,

He prays every trip and here’s why.

Summertime  heavy traffic,

Northbound is never static…

Construction zones–

Several tight ones–

Vehicle flow is erratic!

Each section needs different skills,

Mostly a matter of wills…

Drive forward hard

Give not a yard,

Take it high speed over hills!

He stays in the slow lane,

High speed isn’t his thing…

Gradual loss

For him is his cross,

But happy he is still driving!

BEAUTIFUL HUMAN CLOTHES MODEL!

Notice in the street,

Comments on clothes you meet…

Bring offense

And a person’s defense,

On remarking their fashion is sweet!

Women do this all the time,

Acceptable with little crying…

But a man

Threatens and can,

Be thought too personally prying!

So glad that Demi Monde

And others don’t mind my response…

Half-way ’round the world

she’s a pretty safe girl,

No way I’d swim that “pond”.

Being nearly sixty years-old,

I suppose I’m being bold…

If I earn their trust

I never will bust,

Out of my harness until I’m too old!

KAZOOED A TUNE!

The variously talented

“Kazooed” with trumpet lips,

For nurses walking down the hall

In timing with their hips (?)…

The tune seemed familiar

In a winsome way,

THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS

Said he when they went away!

THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS,

His favorite hooray!

A parody poem!

AN N SCALE RS-3M-?

(Image of a Housatonic Railroad RS-3m  found on Google)

A long-held modelers’ dream,

Doing custom modeling…

Certain railroads

Extended locos,

Lives economically!

RS-3 diesel engines on the main

Were rather hard to maintain…

EMD units

In crashes came though it,

These newer engines to the RS-3 came.

The ALCO RS-3’s “two-forty-four”

Diesel engines were used no more…

They put an EMD

Into the RS-3,

Made a hybrid which lasted years more!

This modeler’s vision is fading,

Tiny N scale’s quite a lading…

Too much for me

Small parts to see,

The project he’s begun evading.

ABLE TO BE DISABLED?

His doctor says this he should do,

His social worker, too…

Would he qualify

When give the eye,

He’s not so sure he’d get through!

It means being out of work

A whole year, of being inert…

A chance he’d take–

Make or break–

If failure he’s left in the dirt.

According to rules on line,

He might not make it this time…

Discomfort and pain–

He can drive all the same–

And nowhere near the fine line!

He thinks: put up with his leg’s,

Discomfort in order to beg…

The question at hand

Understand,

He has things that he can’t renege.

SOW FORGETFULNESS—!

He heard he reaps what is sown,

But didn’t think of his own…

Medicine slips

Lead to nurse quips

To having it to them shown!

😦

FORK LIMBO

Not talking of bent underneath,

But forks whose existence ceased…

Unexplainable

Evidence unobtainable,

The hair on this head duly creased!

Unexplained portals in time,

Is this what happened to mine?

Does a quantum mechanic

Have something for panic,

Because of something stealing him blind?

If he washes dishes,

His answer may be less suspicious…

This lazy gourmand

At the bottom of his pond,

May discover forks propitious!
