GREAT WEEKEND NEWS!

THE COFFEE MACHINE..is working,

An engineer left, smirking…

I used to drink

Two potfuls I think,

An empty machine is irking!

HERITAGE RIDES AGAIN!

On the Railway named “PAN-AM”,

They conjured a curious plan…

An old loco

With it’s first logo,

Put it back in service and it RAN!

Mostly for local yard work,

Natives thimk it a perk…

Local history

Working patiently,

With the expected GP-7 or 9 quirks!

Spends time in between rail yards–

East Deerfield, Portland,  onwards…

Railroader memories

Don’t grow up on trees,

And for a while they won’t break down from rust!

WE TRUSTED YOU!

Mr. Trump we trusted you so,

But your team members’ greed will blow…

The good advertised

To be capsized,

By Liberal telling by show!

We’re not totally turned,

But trust’s a commodity earned…

A fire strom—

But you’ve been warned–

Is it too later for you to have learned?

Open disclosure now

With apologies maay just slow…

The forming lynch mob

And save your job,

Before you become butchered cow!

An opinion post–the author’s!

BLOGGING LIVE!!!!

Unprepared for the day,

Given opportunity to “play”…

My spirit thrives

In cannonball dives,

Can’t let this get away!

THOUGHT IT WAS MONDAY…!

Worked a Saturday shift,

Got mixed up in time just a bit…

Woke up confused–

Had I over snoozed,

Had I missed a doctor’s appointment?

Went out to our living room,

TV preachers, near noon…?

Missed church–

Left them in the lurch,

They’ll have to lead their own hymn tunes!

SUNDAY–we praise our LORD–

At church or home He’s adored…

But we confused

Miss out on Good News,

Assembling to hear God’s word!

MODEL TRAIN TIP-OVER!

A model painted “Susquehanna”

Ran south, toward Havana…

Stubbed a toe

flipped into the snow,

The icy rail joint got hammered!

The model–a “C-430”,

From ALCO was very dirty…

Handrails bent

As over it went,

It looked like it was hurting!

There wasn’t another for sale,

Either fix this one up or bail…

Old enough to scrap–

Recycle parts back,

And rare to find in N scale!

Photo is of a REAL train, engine, rolled over…I believe near Marathon, NY.  Google Image.

PABLO, P.T.

Pablo a Fairlawn , P.T.,

Directing my therapy…

Evaluated

And thus stated

What is the best for me.

Soft-spoken with twinkling eyes,

Dry humor perfect for guys…

A stern positive

Outlook he gives,

Urging the client to try.

Correcting an attendance hole,

Always stays in control…

Patiently

Suggests simply

Get to sessions–the  goal!

Isn’t affronted by touch,

Shaky clients may need it much…

Steadies and spots–

Appreciated lots–

Avoids becoming their crutch!

Measures output and need,

To conserve resources by speed…

Slowing down

Feel the muscle tone,

Built up by measured deed.

Patient with us of poor hearing,

His lingo soft and endearing…

Willingly repeats

What I didn’t get,

Does his own form of cheering.

Focuses intently

On the client–that’s me–

Willingly helps

At the smallest yelps,

Does his job graciously.

–Jonathan Caswell,

Poet and P.T. client.
