OVERWHELMING IN LIFE

Spaghetti hits the fan,

Whatever goes wrong–can…

Letting things slide

Like suicide,

Leaves very little planned.

Brought it all on his head,

The wife’s got her own head…

Why try

Tired of the strive,

He wants to go back to bed.

Blames himself he’s isolated,

No confidant located…

But those for hire–

Credit’s expired–

In fewer discussions he’s participated!

Why anyone would stay,

He wants to hide away…

Have to muddle through–

Make an attempt to–

Would anyone pray?

POWERFUL GRIP!!!

He wasn’t going to bring,

Until his wife’s suggesting…

With no thought

His computer brought,

It proves itself addicting!

Collecting image files,

His face fixedly smiles…

In his zeal

He skips a meal,

And that is a real surprise!

To get balanced tomorrow night,

He’ll leave the thing home that night…

We hope he’s learned

When desires burn,

It can be a difficult fight!

SPIKED IT AGAIN!

His endocrinologist said,

Get controlled or soon be dead…*

Four-seventy-five

And he’s still alive,

But a little out of his head!

Activated payment card tonight,

For a change in insulin slight…

More concentrated

And highly rated,

To help him learn to fly right.

Management is still key,

Discouragement makes you sloppy…

Takes self-control

To fulfill this role,

It can be done honestly!

–Jonathan Caswell

PAID THE PRICE ONCE–FOR ALL TIME!

Jeshua* paid the price

For all our sinful vice…

On the cross

Our sin was tossed

Far away–so nice!

But not for everyone

Jesus’ sacrifice was done…

Those who believe

In Him receive

What He hoped for everyone!

Too many skeptics browbeaten

By Evil through peers defeating…

Opening of eyes

To embrace Paradise,

Their salvation is fleeting.

Many blind claim to see,

Perhaps other deities…

There is ONE

By creating was done,

To Lord Jesus get down on your knees!

Why do fanatics destroy,

Monuments to our Saviour** boy?

Because they see

Destroy history,

Then for Christ it “can’t be employed”.

Even the very rocks

Shout of our Savior’s chops…

King of all kings

Heaven rings,

And never, no never stops!

–Jonathan Caswell

*Jeshua is the Hebrew version (more or less) of the name Jesus, which is Greek.

**Saviour…the European spelling of the title.  American spelling is “Savior”.

NOT WHAT’S EXPECTED?

He thought he knew the game,

Is he the one not the same?

Assuming too much

Is his crutch,

Then withdrawing in pain.

Thinking something inside is broken,

Doesn’t do much as a token…

Realized loss–

Counted the cost–

Not willing the results be spoken.

Yet he’s supposed to talk,

And try to walk the walk…

Of someone healed

It’s been revealed,

That all sounds like crock!

Been promised I’ll “go back in”,

If mood deep dives again…

Putting words

In my mouth is absurd,

I’m hooked into the system!

Plus, I’ve been caught lying

About my thoughts of dying…

Brings sudden suspicion

About my condition,

And how much I’m hiding!

WELLING UP TO OVERFLOWING

Samaritan woman’s thirst

For something so she won’t burst…

Came to this well

And heard Jesus tell,

To put Him first.

Thirsty beyond mere water,

She was a human daughter…

Caught in her lies–

Opened her eyes–

To see living water!

The Lord didn’t put her down,

As she went through her town…

Calling to tell

All of that Well,

Who would stick around!

–Jonathan Caswell

BIBLE REFERENCE:  John 4: 7- 31.

MORE…I HOPE!

Finding exciting posts,

I’ve torn through…most…

Pictures great

Elevate

This poet by every post!

Gleefully he’s run through,

All these to view…

Has  waited

Till more created,

He’s let down and turning blue.

Reviving other interests rough,

Or writing his poetry tough…

Little to mind

On which he can grind,

Out something more than fluff.

All those posts excite

So he doesn’t WANT to write…

Must muddle through

With writing to do,

He’s obligated in spite!

Too much eye candy rots,

Out productive lots…

Redirecting

Thought in connecting,

Mentally connecting the dots!
