“THEM CAT VIDEOS!”

“THEM CAT VIDEOS!”

Watching cat videos,

They’re okay as far as it goes…

But torturing cats,

I think the rats

Should have a scratched and bitten nose!

CATS AND KIDS

CATS AND KIDS

Why do we dump the things we “love”

On the road in a cardboard box…

Or else stuff the parts in a garbage can

As if destroying pox?

Cats and kittens unprepared

Are thrown away like kids…

Once the money made is gone

We put THEM on the skids!

So many would adopt a child—

They’re aborted instead…

The life that’s different from the woman’s

Is killed–by folks wrong in the head.

Did you know that abortion feeds,

And promotes sex slavery deeds?

So much quicker slaves return

To make money for their masters greed !

Adopt a cat–we’ve wanted to–

But we fear a scratched infection…

So we love what we can’t have,

Neither kids, upon reflection.

POET’S HAIKU

POET’S HAIKU

World concerns brought forth

Who really listens or cares

Profit selling wares!

–JEC

Jesus died for all

Not all will come to be saved…

Everyone must choose!

–JEC

Blending words to fit

Intimate, growing ideas…

Poetry lives on!

–JEC

Softer words appear,

Thinking of a real-live doll,

Hugable by me!  🙂

DO THEY REALLY NOT CARE???

DO THEY REALLY NOT CARE???

In the East or West we see

Hidden sex slavery…

Women, girls and boys

Treated like toys,

Death being the only exit they see.

Christian redeem with money

Children billed as honey…

To abuser bees

Satisfying perverted deeds,

Who think resuing vicgtims funny.

Christian missionaries hide

Indentities where they reside…

Whoremongers dream

Of capturing redeemed,

Returning them to the inside.

Why is it that only Christ

Considers all people worth the price…

His death and resurrection

At the Father’s direction

For ALL SOULS was sacrifice!

So easily Westerners ignore

The plights of the forced-into-service whore…

Recruited by lies

Then beaten, despised,

Made to accept it all—and more.

More than likely some claiming to be Christ’s

Think “behind His back” they have rights…

To fondle and abuse

Anyone they choose,

Boldly going down with red lights.

(Vengence is Mine, saith the Lord!)

THIS POET’S ONE-TRACK MIND?

THIS POET.S ONE-TRACK MIND?

A poet with a one-track mind?

I suppose, if they were blind…

Even then I’d say

The mind drifts away,

Into another space and time!

For me, God, Girls and trains

And my marriage are common refrains…

Do I look–yes indeed–

And away with all speed,

i know my weaknesses and aims.

Bikinis on women are nice,

Unless water’s colder than ice…

Shorts and a T-shirt

May be warmer girt,

Maybe not—but it will entice!

You know my penchant for trains,

It’s wiring  that gives me pains…

If only some aid

Be found by trade,

In accordance with both person’s aims.

I worship the Father through God’s Son,

In the Spirit–three but just One…

For His glory I live

By struggling to give

Agape’ to any who come.

A covenant with my wife,

In God’s love bonded for life…

Our old nature’s taints

Depart when His saints

Are taken by rapture from strife!

–Jonathan Caswell

A SENSITIVE PROPOSITION…

A SENSITIVE PROPOSITION…

How does one get across

To a woman her hair looks a loss…

It looked better kept

In the summer, swept

In a tie-back tossed?

Not really security’s thing

Taking hair care under its wing…

Our policy is:

Stay away from that biz,

Or we’ll be accused of something!

Maybe if I pray she’ll notice

And respond to an inner motive…

A cute kid

Rather plain, redid,

Could LOOK the part, and be noticed.

PESACH SHENI–A SECOND CHANCE

PESACH SHANI—A SECOND CHANCE

Pesach Shani, May third of this year,

One month after Passover’s done…

For  undetakers unavoidably stopped

From celebrating the normal one,

Certain men unavoidably detained

On journeys also apply…

To bring offering praising their God

As when the Destroyer passed by.

A TV preacher brought this all out

In the midst of financial appeal…

Applauding God’s giving Israelites a second chance

For those approaching with zeal,

Of course he makes it a second chance

For his ministry’s account…

To gain the favor of financial success

From believers who will hear him out.

I don’t think the Lord had double-dipping in mind

Having compassion on the unable…

To participate when inclined

To share a Passover table,

We know that TV is not very cheap

To keep programs on air…

I shouldn’t criticize a preacher’s desire

Taking advantage of second chances there!

ON AGING

ON AGING

Gradually changing to be

From caregiver to “care-for-me”…

Independence fails

As the subject flails,

Struggling for quality.

Working in nursing homes

Keeps folks from being alone…

One has to harden

Then, not pardon

The frequent unending drone.

Folks who can still be kind

In the face of that sort of grind…

Have my vote

As folks with a Coat

Of Arms—of a gentle mind!”

In Rehab, I took time

To relate to those inclined…

Demential cases

Haven’t solid bases

But deep memory refined.

Will I end up like them,

Both Mom and Dad feared it back then…

Would have been kinder

For Dad without reminder

Of all he’d lost…and when.

So we’ll take it day-by-say,

In fact there’s no other way…

To not worry

Or to curry

Pity by obnoxious display!

WAS IT A DREAM?

WAS IT A DREAM?

I had a dream I thin

Where all controversy

Was smoothed out and answers to find,

It was all too easy!

I had this dream last night

That faded with the dawn…

That made it seem useless to fight

Or then to carry on.

It seemed like folks had conspired

In computer parlance…

To take away distinctiveness

And leave it all to chance.

I wished I could escape

But lay there helplessly…

Abandoning principles,

Submerged by complacency.

I wished for a happy ending,

But I awoke in this state…

Will someone please take care for me

Before it is too latre?

Perhaps it was anomaly,

Perhaps this dream was a fluke…

But if I were to live this way

I’d really rather puke.

HUMOROUS HAIKU

HUMOROUS HAIKU

Punsters punting shells,

Travel canals very well…

‘Til football hits mud.

–J.E.C.

Humerus leg bone,

Funny bone, the elbow is…

Wack it and you’ll see!

–J.E.C.

Bowlfulls of jelly

Don’t make fun of their belly…

Happy if feet seen!

–J.E.C.

Puns are pun-ishing

Making fun of other folks…

Try them on, for size!
