A GARDEN STATUS REPORT

Here at work the gardens

Look fine while the soil hardens…

In cold air

The mums are fair,

The rest of the plants reach their life margins.

TALKING ABOUT THIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN…!

Some observations please,

In the midst of all the sleaze…

Republicans say

“Trump…AWAY.”

Wanting to bring him to his knees.

Last  I heard an report,

Democratic campaigners were FOUR…

Obama, his wife,

Bill, Hillary and V.P. strive,

All on the campaign tour.

Other than Gov. Pence,

Trump has no supporting defence…

Mean-spirit guys

Won’t lift their eyes,

Or do anything for Trump hence!

Your Convention really meant naught,

In selfish cruelty caught…

You’re saying “Go to Hell,”

To the people as well,

Acting like you’re Hillary bought!

It’s the hissy-fit people I implore,

FOR ONCE..put your egos out the door…

He’s not from your camps

But give him a chance,

In taxes we’ll always pay more!

<3 MY LOVE FOR LADY BLOGGERS! <3

❤     MY LOVE FOR LADY BLOGGERS     ❤

Avowed love of lady bloggers,

Hard-working creative bloggers…

I love thee all

For me you stand tall,

Driving us romantics bonkers!  🙂

Some of you are very fetching,

Appearance not all that’s catching…

The mind and heart–

Thy very art–

Draweth me to your fine meshings!

By word and artistic guile,

You make this creative man smile…

Cry and laugh

On your behalf,

Each in a wonderful style.

Long distance hugs the rule

In this community cool….

Cool in attitude

To not be rude,

Suggesting of anything cruel.

Group hugs all around,

My love to all of you found….

In likes and raves

From this former knave,

Who likes in whose company he’s found!

😀

AND SUDDENLY SHE’S GONE!

AND SUDDENLY SHE’S GONE!

(To all the Lady bloggers who change format, leave Word Press or don’t come around anymore…after I’ve grown to love, admire and need them!)

(With sorrowful cries to  one in particular!)

Another woman draws apart,

Taking a portion of heart…

I know it’s not fair

To keep her here,

But her leaving does smart!

I’m hardly more than sideshow

Of the hundreds of people to know…

My growing attached

Suddenly despatched,

Leaves this blog host feeling low

I hold no right to any,

But tied in friendship to many…

As much as is

For a poet like me,

Who longs for sisters and Mammy!

So go off–you’ll be fine.

I’ll get off this jag of mine…

People collecting

We should be rejecting,

But for losing you, I pine.

HARD-TO-HEAR HAIKU

HARD-TO-HEAR HAIKU

(Adult Topic)

Become impotent

His fading manhood laments…

But what is inside?

-JEC

Little feeling left,

No place left to vent the ache…

Must thinking change, too?

–JEC

Engorgement all gone,

Being faithful accepts lack…

No one left to love.

–JEC

How to love without?

Can a man still be a man”’

His woman knows that!

–JEC

Appreciates form,

Less likely liquid lusting…

Why keep the old ways?

–JEC

Is safer this way…

For all women that he sees,

Much less threatening!

–JEC

Power lust remains,

That…no non-phallic can cure…

Bad apples near tree.

CHANGING TREE TANKA

CHANGING TREE TANKA

Colors start to pop,

Trees shut down their leaves’ supply…

Green leaves turn colors:

Morphology is working

Just the same in ev’ry year!

–J.E.C.

People come from far

And near…”peeping” foliage…

Brighter is better:

Bus loads come en mass to shop.

Local business harvests crops!

–J.E.C.

A final push all

Benefit from folderol…

Festivals light skies:

Candied apples and brown bread

Folks ready for winter dead.

–J.E.C.

Railroad excursions,

Northeast woodland incursions…

Train cars filled with joy:

Steam or diesel pull the trains,

Nostalgic commerce makes gains!

HONKIE HAIKU

HONKIE HAIKU

(i’S A WHITE FOLK!)

His poor heart is crushed

She doesn’t say much when rushed….

His chances are mush!

“SLINGING SLANG”

Hispanic…gringo,

Nipponese…round eyes,

On the streets…HEY, YOU!

THE Q.A. CONSTITUTIONAL

THE Q.A.* CONSTITUTIONAL

(Or…the Quality Assurance Dept. walk)

Most good weather evenings,

Q.A. walks around…

The Upper and Lower Parking Lots

To settle themselves down.

They work on mini-microchips

With chemicals and more,

They need to relax so they

Won’t drop them on the floor…!

There usually are two,

If not the total three…

Three or four circuits

Keep them healthy.

SEPARATE–NOT EQUAL

SEPARATE–NOT EQUAL

Memorial Sunday came

And went with the parade…

Neighbors’ scheduling games

Sidesgtepped spiritual aid.

By the time I parked my car,

The Color Guard had moved off…

To give honor to the dead

While standing the graves upon.

Was saddened to not see

Our Pastor honoring the dead…

They’d asked him there to be

But he “had church”, he said.

So Praise Band practiced songs

While bugles and rifle shot…

Echoed across cemetery lawns

Without God’s blessing sought.

Used to be, not long ago,

The service and parade combined…

One would the other show

Consideration of a neighborly kind.

The Pastor, I think, was wrong

Not to set aside practice…

For a few praise songs

To show our church active!

Community give-and-take

Means Christians humble must give…

In to a common cause

Of the neighborhoods where we live.
