STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrée.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

HATS, SASHES AND CULTURE

We all like to dress up,

Some more–some less there, bub…

Culturally

Influences are free,

For the fashionable to snap up!

A woman uses a base bland,

Combined with something grand…

To exude flair–

That savoir faire–

Her style is in demand!

Caps and sashes culture,

A vision of worldly demure…

Softer sides

Of wonder world-wide,

A hit at the party for sure!

POET…AFTER (A) FASHION!

He calls himself “fashion poet”,

One or two others know it…

In pursuits

Avoiding lawsuits,

He certainly doesn’t want to blow it!

Him being man and all,

Must carefully judge his call…

With less passion

Than stereotypical fashion,

Not being the Beast at the ball.

Gender matters to him,

Especially if women…

They’re the kind

He most has in mind,

Do they mind if he tiptoes in?

PRETTY AS A PICTURE

Is that a cowl neck I see,

This sweater fits her to a “T”…

A classy belt

Accentuates her svelt

Portions, lovely to see!

This sweater—a camel cream?

Allied with a pencil dress dream…

Opposites attract

Results here distract,

As a wonderfully  well-designed scheme.

An business woman ideal,

Her male colleagues—take a chill–

Notebook at her side

Sunglasses hide,

Reactions to compliment overkill.

A LASS’ TARTAN SKIRTS!

A lass’ tartan skirts  as lifted,

Demonstrates her gifted…

Sense of style

And joyful smile,

Aye, lassie, you’re more than just gifted!

ANYBODY LISTENING?

A tartan pencil skirt,

Is any out there alert…

Nice to see

Fashionably,

I remember a teacher so girt.

While strict, she had her charm,

Frequent knits to stay warm…

Knee-length hems

I considered gems,

A high-pitched voice when in alarm!

For a Junior High School boy,

Her outfits were sources of joy…

Modest, severe,

But oh what a year,

With some imagination…oh boy!

<3 JOANNE <3

❤    JOANNE    ❤

Putting it very succinctly,

Joanne in our eyes is distinctly…

A treasure to see

While we happily,

Visit her office meekly.

In fashion that’s the best,

In professional confidence rests…

Her cheery manner

With not a complainer,

Or any of which we’ll attest!

Blessed by her children dear,

We’re blessed by her presence here…

Those of us taken,

Loyalties unshaken

Would make our affection of her clear!

We hope this Valentine will do,

We sure do appreciate you…!

WANTED…CLOSE COMMUNICATING!

WANTED CLOSE COMMUNICATING!

The problem was both had hurts,

Committed by trousers and skirts…

Commitment to trust

Gathered rust,

Both thought the other curt.

Walls and grudges build

Despite commitments to yield…

Many a marriage

Is disparaged,

By combat in the field.

Obvious one doesn’t understand,

The other’s health demands…

One bends over,

The other takes over

And pushes one into badlands.

The verbose one wonders why

The silent one won’t try

to open

As they’re hoping,

To fill them in bye-and-bye.

The silent one’s thoughts run sarcastic,

The other one listens to drastic…

And half the time

Is not so inclined,

They both fall into that basket!

THE GUY WHO LOST IT…

THE GUY WHO LOST IT…

The guy who recently “lost it”,

Whose manhood is not a threat…

Still has a brain that functions–

He hasn’t  lost  all of it yet!

He likes the luscious looking,

Faves he has in fact…

Commenting he won’t be brooking

But is less likely to act.

His compliments of people

He keeps closer to the chest…

Experience in business climates

He does what is best.

CHANGING TREE TANKA

CHANGING TREE TANKA

Colors start to pop,

Trees shut down their leaves’ supply…

Green leaves turn colors:

Morphology is working

Just the same in ev’ry year!

–J.E.C.

People come from far

And near…”peeping” foliage…

Brighter is better:

Bus loads come en mass to shop.

Local business harvests crops!

–J.E.C.

A final push all

Benefit from folderol…

Festivals light skies:

Candied apples and brown bread

Folks ready for winter dead.

–J.E.C.

Railroad excursions,

Northeast woodland incursions…

Train cars filled with joy:

Steam or diesel pull the trains,

Nostalgic commerce makes gains!
