TREATS FOR ALL!

After her denture wax fitting,

She wanted some coffee to go…

Got to the drive through and noticed

An adjacent car wash and so…!

Took a few minutes to figure out

How to turn the thing on…

Flashing signs on the side helped,

The unit then sprayed on!

Went around the building again

For coffees–mine iced–

Bought two Boston Cream donuts for us,

At Honey Dew Donuts  they’re nice!

THAT LONESOME VALLEY…!

I’ll walk that Lonesome Valley,

You know the one I mean…

That lonesome walking hallway

Down to the coffee machine!

Seems such a lonesome walk there

No one around–

I’ll walk that Lonesome valley

To drink coffee grounds;

I’ll walk that lonesome hallway,

For coffee am I bound!

(to tell the truth, I think “THE TWELTH OF NEVER” was the tune I used!)

TASTING REALITY

(In case anyone wonders…MOXIE Cups also hold coffee!)

REALITY IS…without a huge mug

That coffee brought down the long hall…

From a coffee machine down there

Is drunk in no time at all!

MOXIE mugs or paper cups

Have poor capacity…

Unless one holds back the thirst

And sips most daintily!

Used to allow us a pot down here,

Had increased capacity…

Water and grounds close at hand–

Potfuls would satisfy me!  🙂

THICK SNOW

Up where ski centers are

Already lots of snow,

The railroads have to plow it off

To go where they must go…

The highways must be safe to drive

For incoming “green”,

Awful nice to look at

A snowy winter scene—

It’s awfully nice to look at

IF YOUR CAR DOESN’T CAREEN!  😀

LONELY NIGHT POSTING

Clear and cold the night,

A snow squall covered just right…

Asphalt bare

And frosty air,

Hastens the guard back inside.

Except the occasional call,

Employees  the other end of the hall…

Rarely disturb

His post with a word,

Except for an incident call.

He must stay alert

For anything that will hurt…

Employees or he

Surveillance constantly,

They work as needed in concert.

Checking  the coffee machine,

Any left so he won’t dream…?

The long hallway walk

At Nine o’clock,

Stretches his legs tall and lean.

SOUNDS OF THE SEASON

Runbling passes by,

Lights in the distance vie…

Clearing asphalt

Making a halt

For some coffee and pie!

LIQUID SATISFACTION

Strolling down the long hall.

For five espressos, that’s all…

Creamer perhaps

Preventing naps,

It hurts–that office chair fall!

Chocolate espresso looked weak,

No color of which to speak…

The normal stuff

Was dark brown enough,

To bring blushes to the cheek.

Walking back down the hall,

Carefully didn’t spill at all…

There’s medical need

For caffeine indeed,

That coffee machine doth call!
