STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrée.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

PACKAGE SERVICE MIX UP

Sending two semi trailer trucks

To the same place costs big bucks…

Glad it’s not me

In that company,

Who may be out of luck!

CURRENT WEATHER UPDATE

Currently here it rains,

Washing ice melt down storm drains…

Then it’ll freeze

Bring us to our knees,

Needing sand and salt trucks again!

HE DOESN’T LIKE TICKLES!

HE DOESN’T LIKE TICKLES!!!

Time and time again,

He says don’t tickle me when…

You want to poke,

I’m a sensitive bloke,

But she wants his attention!

COMMON ROOM BLINDS

COMMON ROOM BLINDS

Management put up new blinds,

The opaque, big-bodied kinds…

Can’t see a thing

Of folks entering,

The window between us is blind.

PRIVILEDGED TO PRAY

PRIVILEDGED TO PRAY

Priviledged–intercessory prayer–

For people who need special care….

Have a notebook

For prayer undertook,

Logging God’s answer there!

OUR FATHERS

OUR FATHERS

Who are in heaven–some not–

Were all the fathers we got…

some had to learn

Our respect to earn,

While others it was as good as it got!

DOUGLAS NATIVE PHILOSOPHY

DOUGLAS NATIVE PHILOSOPHY

This morning we lost power,

It does no good to glower…

Break out an oil lamp

If we have to, we’ll camp

On a relative’s door a few hours!
