STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrée.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

TIME FOR NEW SHOES?

TIME FOR NEW SHOES?

(Parody lyrics for THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS)

My right foot tends to wear down

The outside of the heel,

Some waxed floors catch me sliding

On that patch–what a thrill (?)…

I’ve barely worn these shoes for long,

Just six months to a year,

For some of that I sat

Confined to an easy chair!

I’ll have more foot surgery

In a few weeks,

Some stuff needs removing

’cause the original wound still leaks…

I hope these size twelves still fit

When I go to the job,

If I get caught be home nursing

i will not earn a bob!

If I ‘m transferred to home nursing

I will not earn a bob!
