CREATIVE COMBINATIONS (FROM A DREAM?)

CREATIVE COMBINATIONS

(From A dream?)

One against three or two,

How does one know what to do…

A fevered pitch

Drops a stitch,

One less working–boo-hoo!

Several combine as one,

Knowing by heart what’s done…

Sounds like a breeze,

Becomes a tight squeeze

When the word race is won.

Not sure what to do?

Will set things up for you!

Summon a meme,

Float that trireme*

Just when you’re feeling blue!

–Jonathan Caswell

* A trireme…afloat!

GREAT GRAVITATIONAL GRAVATAR!

GREAT GRAVATATIONAL GRAVATAR!

A blogger said I looked too fat,

Now what did she mean by that…

My blogging thumbnail,

Seven years in the pale

Says nothing on how I’m now sat!¬† ūüôā

Technology challenges real

Prevent more recent reveal…

Film undeveloped

And selfies untaken,

The S.L.R. camera

Takes concentration,

With nothing new

To print I’m in trouble;

If she wants “me” current

I’ll make a plan on the double!

THE “ELITIST” POET

THE “ELITIST” POET

(An opinion piece)

He feels so very troubled

When “poets” come out to play…

Labeling work a certain style

And throwing the rules away!

Ten-to-twelve verses

Are not your normal haiku…

Limericks done however one wants

Are “fun” but really P-U.

Neither of these have more than one verse,

And rhythms¬† very exact…

The learning curves really aren’t that steep

To torture us with your slack!
