THE SILLY IMPROMPTU

THE SILLY IMPROMPTU!

(Made up as I write them)

Stamping for a better view,

Of the woman turning blue…

Men encamped

Legs all cramped,

Turning blue then too!

Cats will say “meow”

Except when there’s a row…

Then they howl

Hiss and yowl,

They don’t sound so cute now!

Bolly-cat came back here,

Wearing her flea collar  bandolier…

I had to catch

But she’s no match

For long-legged owners dear!

Liquid bread–that’s beer–

Is consumed a lot around here…

By bottle and case

The storage place

Must be kept access-clear.

Eating pastrami and cheese,

Pass the mustard please….

We’ll want to savor

The spicy flavor,

And a few more of these!

I clear out the trash,

The next guy has panache…

Cleaning the desk

‘Cause guys leave a mess,

He carefully does his task.

With the last drop of flavored coffee

I’ve gotten my caffeine softly…

Make another pot

I’ll be in a spot,

For sleep wil be harder…awfully!

Prerecorded telephone calls

Certainly have their balls…

Using every line

For minutes at a time,

The REST of phone business crawls.

Cleaning people leaved by ones and twos,

Except before holidays when all are excused…

Driving dribs and drabs,

Or getting taxi cabs,

At quitting time we all get so enthused!!!!

One more and maybe we will rest,

Some folk.s memory is not the best…

Lost in the women’s rest room

She found it as she vacuumed,

In the office…where detection was the best!

Silly songs pile up with no relief,

Problems being silly is chief…

Reason they pile

‘Cause few manage to smile,

The cost of repairing makeup must be steep!

SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT

SIGNS OF PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT

The troubles that got him in trouble

Have certainly been re-arranged,,,

The signs that his self- worth has doubled–

Look at how he has changed!

He holds his tongue much better

When angry or tempted to say…

Some inane “to a female” comment

From which he could be blamed.

He’s striving more to be happy,

Working on his N scale rail line…

Piecing track together

So for him it will look fine..

And with extra cunning…

He could get it running,

He’s got the wire

And belly fire,

To make it really SOMETHING!

At home he’s changing to be

For his wife treating her gently…

Not as sore

Or keeping score,

Remembering his faults intently!

He seems in better mood,

Then what was formerly viewed…

His doctor sees

Realities

Are changing—the change is good!!!

I DO HAVE ANOTHER BLOG, YOU KNOW????

I DO HAVE ANOTHER BLOG, YOU KNOW????

“THE MARVELOUS MUMFORD,”, you see,

Also belongs to me…

It’s overflow–

I use it so–

And for topical poetry.

Jumbled parts of a book

‘Bout experience when toes were “took”…

Are there to view

And reblogs, too,

Some with a good narrative hook!

Other works are adult topics,

On subjects born in the tropics…

Reader discretion

And scanning inspection

Might save overheating of optics!

WE ACKNOWLDGE AND BEWAIL…

“WE ACKNOWLEDGE AND BEWAIL…

OUR MANIFOLD SINS AND WICKEDNESSES!”

So says the Hymnal Methodist,

Big words but this is the gist…

Confess and repent–

Be not content

Until the Son is kissed!

Church says at least once yearly,

The Bible says daily–more often clearly–

Be reconciled

Whenever defiled,

If possible—do it early!

Some emotional are,

Others barely jarred…

Do we say “bewail”

And all that entails

EACH TIME we take things too far?

Ritual for ritual’s sake,

Repetition brings temptation to fake…

Made to repent

One will resent,

In tthe heart, repentance won’t take!

How do maturer disciples

Get through these frequent cycles…

Expressed emotion

Faked as devotion,

The process taken as trifles?

I am no master-mind here,

Perhaps my experience clears…

Questions of sense

With God’s grace immense,

The mystery revealed for years.

I know when I’ve done,

Delibrately against God’s Son…

Acknowledged inside

Recognised  pride,

My Sin against the Holy One.

His grace and mercy I plea

As well as my eternal need…

For all His grace

To see His face,

When from this world we are freed.

Words are cheap without action

So I do what I must for traction…

Forgiving self

Is my wide gulf,

Must do it to God’s satisfaction..

So acknowledge, repent, find release,

In time failure’s sadness will ease…

Can hardly forget

But next time be set

With precautions with which God is pleased.

AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN ANY MORE (DUE TO AGING)

AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN ANY MORE

(DUE TO AGING)

In groggy state all night,

Three hours at least in the fight…

Everything’s soft

Despite trying oft,

Somehow it doesn’t seem right!.

Maybe if he weren’t upset

One could break through yet…

Gotta watxh what he sees

Or writes about (please),

He’s gotten frustrated, I’d bet!

Problem is, he feels young,

Some say life has barely begun…

Not much can do–

Chances of a mortgage are through–

The man has had his run.

HIS LOVE IS NEW EVERY MORNING!

HIS LOVE IS NEW EVERY MORNING

For those of us who work late,

God never closes His eyes…

Whenever is a new day for you

Nothing catches Him by surprise.

Some things we cannot just leave behind,

The consequences to be borne…

Yet opportunities to get it right

Are made new every morn.

God’s mercy and His love resound,

Anew every minute each day…

Akk it takes is purose it in your heart

To let God show you His Way!

HE MOURNS ON

HE MOURNS ON

Grieving,  he must analyse,

What clearly is before his eyes…

That face and chest–

A visual conquest–

An attraction beyond the wise?

His favorite one is she,

To back pedal now is key…

Yielding to pain

Won’t bring again

Stolen joys from what used to be!
