SNOWY SONG PARODY

SNOWY SONG PARODY

Drivers slow when roads are slick,

Waiting for plows to get there quick…

Driving in third gear or in “one”…

Looking for trouble–other drivers from!

Pulling out shovels from your trunk,

Seeing how much ice melt has shrunk…

Finding cleats for a neighbor’s cane,

Cleaning off cars is such a pain!

Roads well-treated for that night,

Next day gone in weak sunlight…

Knowing how much salt to lay down

To not break budgets in the early rounds?

Arguments over front and back-

Wheel drive–which one you’ll back…

Traction and balance on the wheels,

Special technique to each appeals!

FIRST FROST PICTORIAL

FIRST  FROST PICTORIAL

(sing to “Animal Crackers in My Soup”)

Chrysanthemums are askew

Heavy-laden with frozen dew,

Frosty grass is all aglow

With something that reminds of snow!

Yellow sun pops glistening rays

Over leaves with crystal glaze,

Tree trunks darken from melting frost

Making sure no heat is lost!

Short-tailed fairies in waters dwell

Rising up in the moist-er dells,

Stretching lithe backs to catch the sun

Raising their arms to the Holy One!

First frost feathers melt away

Until another autumn day,

Flowers straighten getting warm

Glad they have escaped a storm!
