WHISTLING IN THE DUSK

The Autumn Equinox,

Means putting the sun in a “box”…

Shining less

Through the one hour regress,*

When Daylight Savings Time stops.

THEN we’ll be in the black,

And happy pills, need a stack…

Not enough light

Some don’t feel right,

Plus having a Vitamin D lack!

So whistle to keep up the cheer,

It’s dark going home, my dear…

Winter’s coming

I’m absolutely bumming,

Will someone shed a tear?

AUTUMNAL EQUINOX

As of ten o’clock this morning ’twas here,

Ending of summer for this year…

The picnics you knew

And the hotdogs chewed,

And friends bring memories’ cheer.

Remember when old and grey,

Bittersweet feelings today…

More coats–no bikinis–

Autumn weather, harvest gleanings–

Perhaps a good time by the bay?

Green turning brown,

Halloween candy’s around…

Colorful days

In cooling haze,

Thanksgiving…soon inbound!

WISPS OF SMOKE

WISPS OF SMOKE

In September the leaves start turning,

As for southern climes birds are yearning…

With colors so bright

The leaves, fog alights,

A colorful summer’s urning.
