AVOIDING A MORTAL SIN

AVOIDING A MORTAL SIN

Security remembers the din

When he nearly packed it in…

Clothes and hair

No commenting  there,

The bruise remains on his chin.

Not many comments at all,

His neck shouldn’t be too tall…

Some overjoyed

He’s still employed

Just in time to enjoy the fall.

He’s yet to erase e-files,

Aware of his personal wiles…

The mortal sin

He was caught in,

Made him turn back his dials

What was this mortal sin,

In which he was caught in…

Causing discomfort for those walking by,

Being a wolf with a roving eye,

And nearly was sent packing!

MONDAY HAIKU(S)

MONDAY HAIKU(S)

Northward expedition

For employment drug testing

Joyful drive back home

Men glad to see me

Building’s work in upheaval

Many have asked for me

MY WIFE WANTS A CAT

MY WIFE WANTS A CAT

Her husband soon will be working

Evenings–she’ll feel lonely…

She wants to get a kitty

To keep her company.

In theory there’s no problem,

But infections we tend to get…

Kitty front paws must declaw

Or the answer is “nyet.”

Suggested renting our neighbor’s

“Kizzy Kat” for a while…

The wife wasn’t enthusiastic,

She wants her own feline child.

I really can’t say I blame her

For I miss a kitty cat too…

At least we’ve begun discussions

Till we decide what to do.
