HOW DOTH YOUR GARDEN GROW?

HOW DOTH YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Behold the ever-present bee,

Facilitating fertility…

So how come few flowers

Have fruit in MY bowers,

My plants were missed unjustly!

Marigolds are turning out fine,

But cukes and “tomaters” have declined…

There aren’t enough bees

So pollination sees

Results abundantly and properly timed.

We hear that pesticides strike bees down,

Where little bees’  knees hit the ground…

Bacterial infection too

Has damaged the working crew,

While competition from hostile species abounds.

We humans have made our own mess,

Can’t spend enough money that nature resets…

Already made our bed,

Now sleep there one has said:

It’s too far gone to make proper redress.

WARM WEATHER HAIKU

WARM WEATHER HAIKU

Air conditioners

Softly flowing night time wind…

Cool enough, without.

Parking in the shade,

Handicapped zone is filled up…

Worth the extra walk.

Wild families grow,

No fishercats seen this year…

The woods hide many lives.

Flowers open wide,

Bees work among the petals…

Aroma lures all.
