MY “STRAWBERRY” IS A BLONDE

My “strawberry” is a blonde,

Of whom I am so fond….

I got in the photo

Near full-length (total),

With a smile she was willing to respond.

She dyed her hair red for the summer,

It’s all gone now—bummer—

But it’s her hair,

Looks nice right there…

Even though a blonde, she’s a drummer!

We talk and smile back and forth…

She knows I’m joking, of course,

But she really is neat

And ever so sweet,

A lovely and capable force.

The best thing—she likes poetry—

The kind I write, especially,

It’s nice to be adored (?)

For the word I put forward…

Seeing her always pleases me!
