A friend from college she was,

Remembered for two things because…

She wouldn’t cooperate

With a Palestinian irrate

Who would make her his wife A-plus!

This blonde, wore a silky blue blouse

I tried to take a picture in the house…

Flash destroyed the affect

Of silkiness–it was wrecked–

But to her I’ll never grouse.

–

I think the Lord had His say,

She never looked lovingly in MY way…

I was just a friend–

That blouse on her was grand–

I’ll have a memory and a picture…if it wasn’t thrown away!

She passed by without a coat on

And he was taken aback…

He found he still held some feeling,

(So easy to get back on track).

Her nicely shaped blouse in light blue

And darker slim-looking slacks…

Were certainly a good view,

While her smile gave his heart several whacks!

So quickly his mirage faded,

Or was it really mirage…

His mind suddenly less jaded

Broke out inside with applause.

–

She gladdened his heart for a moment

And then once more when she left…

This pleasant interaction went quickly,

A personal secret kept.
