LOUD ENOUGH?

LOUD ENOUGH?

He took an afternoon nap

Using his trusty C-PAP…

His alarm rang

And he sprang

In theory, to shut its trap!

But it kept ringing because

He forgot where it was…

The C-PAP machine

Was the best he could glean

But THAT didn’t stop the buzz!

Finally he awoke,

Feeling like a foolish bloke…

On the table beside

His head he spied

The alarm clock which he broke.

BEDTIME SECOND THOUGHTS

BEDTIME SECOND THOUGHTS

One-half of the bed uncovered,

I can sleep in the bed if druthered…

Company’s finer

Staying in the recliner,

But the constant TV has bothered.

I’ll have to move my C-PAP,

But moving its backup’s no snap…

Enough intertwined

Emergency lines,

We could use another on tap!

If faced with any power outage,

I COULD face an “out-of-bed” routage…

When everything’s dark

It’ll be nice to park

Nearer the wife in an outage.

SERENDIPITOUS MISTAKES

SERENDIPITOUS MISTAKES

He knew he’d paid a lot,

For the special device he’d got…

When the package came through

There were, in fact, two–

His first thought was…THANKS A LOT!

Electrical backup–her chair–

Would work with no power there….

A powered C-PAP

Was now a snap,

The reason of which he’d been unaware.

His own sleeping is easier,

His C-PAP won’t stop when it’s breezier….

Enough to bring down

Power poles in town,

With the second back-up–a pleaser!

SQUEAKS IN THE BED?

SQUEAKS IN THE BED?

Around about four a.m.

I hear, with the C-PAP on…

Some squeaks that can’t be me,

Maybe the bedsprings have gone!

Turning off the C-PAP machine

And laying very still…

Not moving in the bed,

It comes from the window sill.

The robins and sparrows are chirping

Awake at four a.m….

While the day is lightening grey,

I’ll never mistake them again!
