VALENTINE WRAP-UP

VALENTINE WRAP-UP

The candy I brought home Wednesday
Was opened long before the day…
Minutes past midnight
She took a bite,
I got it for her, anyway!
Not much happened in hot romance,
But we both got the chance…
To take a bath
And avoid wrath,
Of each other, in our manse.
I suppose you’d claim we’re old,
And our love growing kind of cold…
Perhaps it’s true
But compared to you,
I think we are still rather bold!
We kissed and hugged each other
And she went and called her brother…
Finding that he
Was on a spree,
With his new significant other.
We’re going to go on living,
Learning, loving and giving…
Each other a thrill
Climbing the same hill,
Our memories are worth reliving.

SECURITY IS FED

SECURITY IS FED

A cleaner lady came in

And handed me a bag…

Which held a couple pastries,

A fine and luscious swag.

Candy and Christmas cookies

Peer down from a shelf….

All the crew shares them,

I’ve had a bunch myself.

I once got in trouble

For refusing a candied lot….

I’ve learned my lesson

To accept whate’er we get!!!!

If I choose not to indulge

I know that someone will…

Each well-meant refusal

Leaves less goodies in the till.

“D” IS DELIGHTFUL

“D” IS DELIGHTFUL

“D” is delightful,

What Daria is to us…

Irena is insightful,

The both of them a “plus”;

“D.” is for Daria,

A fine Polish girl’s name…

Irena and “D.” work happily

To all that paperwork tame!

Our Administrative Assistant,

A girl of twenty-three…

Does her work with fortitude

And yet has come to be

A treasured confidant to some,

To others a reminder of

Those youthful times of yesteryear

When they were in love!

Some men bring her candy

To share, watching her smile…

Some compare notes about life,

And hang around a while;

She often keeps on working

Not missing a single word…

She’s the joy of all at Riddlebrook,

We’re glad that we have her!

VALENTINE SPECIAL

VALENTINE SPECIAL

Roses and wine

Take money and time…

But if funds are through,

M & M’s will do!

VALENTINE CARDS

VALENTINE CARDS

What’s the next shopping holiday
Judging by grocery stores
Who put and sold off the Christmas array…
Impressing Standard and Poor’s?

Martin Luther King Day, the twenty-first
Of January doesn’t sell
That many goodies, though perhaps it should…
Ignoring it may not bode well.

No, Valentine’s Day is the next money-maker
With pink-packaged candy and cards…
Those lingerie sets must give a guy fits,
As tough to remove as leotards!
