CHILD ADORED…by Carl Gooch

CHILD ADORED

by Carl Gooch

Here I stand

Meek and mild,

Loving Father

I am tour child.

Forgiving Lord

Hear my prayer,

I know dear Lord

You are there.

When words fail

You know my heart,

Your love prevails–

You’ll never depart.

Yes, I am guilty–

My past filled with sin–

But you made a new me

And my victory you did win!

So here I am Lord

Blessed and  free,

Your child adored–

You have forgiven me.

MY SAVIOR NEAR, by Carl Gooch

MY SAVIOR NEAR….by Carl Gooch

In the morning’s cool fall air,

I sit peacefully without care…

A book of love open in my hand

To seek His word and my command.

What doth day hold…how will I fare…

It doesn’t matter when He is there,

Blessings, promises before me lay:

The Lord my God walks with me today!

Noon sun warms my hair,

Rejoice my heart, for His care…

My heart o’er flows in joyous praise

For the Lord watching over me all my days.

When toil becomes too much to bear,

Take it all to the cross, leaving it there…

He gives strength that we can stand

Guided and protected by his hand!

The evening sun sets as I kneel in prayer,

Thanking the Lord that He’s always there…

When my body is weary from running its race

Calm and peace–His  rest sets in place.

I have no worries

And have no fear…

I know my Savior

And He is near!

NONE BUT YOU….by Carl Gooch

NONE BUT YOU

Loving Father, it is because of you alone

That my heart overflows with praise,

Quiet my soul and still my tongue

As you poor out Love’s blessing…

On your servant, holy hands raised!

Gracious King, your way is life,

Truth in your holy word for us to hear…

Your Holy Spirit given

To strengthen our way to Heaven;

Your presence allows no room for fear!

You rise majestically,

Give us rest when we’re weary…

From evil you lead and protect

And bless us ever direct,

A loving Father that wants our best!

My Lord and my God you are loving,

Your miracles faithful and true…

The God of my father’s father

There is no other like you!

AS YOUR HAND I HOLD…by Carl Gooch

AS YOUR HAND I HOLD

Let my words and actions reveal your story,

Open my heart that I may your love proclaim…

Let me be a reflection of your great glory,

Open my lips that I may praise your Name.

Teach me Lord, what you would have me say

With your forgiveness…fill me til I overflow…

By your word lead me along life’s pathway,

That your forgiveness to others I freely show.

Grant me one more day your praises to sing,

With each breath I take be in thanks to you…

You are my source, my life, my everything,

The promises in your word I find true.

On that great Day, the trumpets sounding

I’ll sing your sweet praises with saints of old…

Rejoicing with each step of holy grounding,

Your love has led me home, your hand I hold!

GLORY TO THE LORD, by Carl Gooch

Glory to The Lord

Glory to the Lord most high,
Who for my sins did die.
Glory to the Lord most high,
Who did not pass me by.

I was lost, my life filled sin,
I saw no hope, I saw no way.
In despair I cried out to Him
And mercy He showed that day.

Now everything I say or do,
Is to show His wondrous love.
These words I share with you,
Come to me from the Lord above.

Glory to the Lord most high,
Who for my sins did die.
Glory to the Lord most high,
Who did not pass me by.

Let my life be lived in praise
To the one who paid the price.
Let my hands and voice be raised,
To the Lord for His sacrifice.

Glory to the Lord most high,
Who for my sins did die.
Glory to the Lord most high,
Who did not pass me by.

I WILL SPEAK, by Carl Gooch

I will speak

Another morning comes, Lord.
And I lift my voice to you.
You hear my groans and pleas
And come to see me through.

You open my sleep filled eyes
To the beauty of the day.
Your word guides my feet
And blesses me along the way.

You provide for all my needs
That my body may be nourished.
You bless the work you gave me,
That your glory may flourish.

As the day grows long and hot,
You give me shade and rest.
You fill me with peace and love,
And strength to stand the test.

As the evening sun goes down
And my body is tired and week,
I read your loving promises,
And your praises I will speak.

WORLD VS. BIBLE…by Carl Gooch

World Vs. Bible

 -
It amazes me how some people feel threatened by the bible. It makes one wonder why.

What’s the big deal? If they are doing nothing wrong why would they feel threatened? And if they do not believe the bible, what difference would it make?

You’d think they’d just let it go.

But maybe what is really bothering them is they don’t want to hear the truth. They are comfortable living a lie. Their lives are so in contrast with the truth that it grieves their soul to hear it.

I look around at this world and I see what it holds as valuable, what it promotes as good and right. It’s a world filled with sin, violence and hate.

So I guess I’m really not that surprised that the bible stirs up resistance. Because the world opposes the bible my faith is made even stronger.

I know what the bible says is real and it encourages me to stand firm. It even says that we will be persecuted for our walk with Christ. So I rejoice.

Satan is doing his best to kill, steal and destroy. He is deceiving many to seek worldly riches, lust and pleasures of the flesh. He is the father of lies his words tickle the ears of a selfish world.

We were created to love our Creator and love those God created. We don’t always love what they do. But we know our God is greater, stronger; His ways are higher than any other! My God is Healer, awesome in His Power!

In this sin filled world the only peace is in knowing Jesus Christ our Lord.

BLESSED IN THE MORNING, by Carl Gooch

Blessed in the Morning

I’m blessed in the morning;
Blessed when evening comes.
Oh, I’m blessed by God above,
Who sent His Holy Son.

I rise up in the morning,
He kept me safe in the night.
Before I even begin the day,
I give Him thanks, it’s only right.

For I’m blessed in the morning;
And blessed when evening comes.

I seek His wisdom and advice,
As I go about my day.
When I am unsure or in need,
All I have to do is pray.

I’m blessed in the morning;
Blessed when evening comes.
Oh, I’m blessed by God above,
Who sent His Holy Son.

When the sun is setting,
I know He is smiling down with love.
As I sit and ponder the day,
I give praise to God above.

For I’m blessed in the morning;
And blessed when evening comes.

GIVE THE LORD PRAISE!….by Carl Gooch

Give the Lord Praise

Praise the Lord.
Serve with a full heart
You ministers of His house.
Praise the Lord, the Lord is good.
Praise the Lord.
Sing praises to His name
For it is right and pleasant to do.
Praise the Lord. He is our mighty God.
Praise the Lord.
For He has chosen us to be His own;
His treasured People.
Praise the Lord, with a joyful heart.
Praise the Lord.
The Lord made the earth
He is greater than the world.
Praise the Lord. He reigns with Love.
Praise the Lord.
For He knows our sinful past
Yet show His love and mercy.
Praise the Lord. He is our salvation.

THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS….by Carl Gooch

The Good Old Days

The good old days..
When a man shook your hand
And looked you in the eye;
When a man gave his word
He kept it, he would not lie.
Oh, how I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
The good old days;
Where kids could run and play,
And they could laugh all day.
They’d have a lemonade stand,
On sometimes a fat old snowman.
Oh, how I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
In the good old days;
Mom and Dad respected each other,
Loved and supported one another.
They showed their kids a better way,
Taught them how to kneel and pray.
In the good old days….
Take me back to the good old days.
How I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
