Achan took his goodies and went,

Buried them under his tent…

Slaughter at Ai

Convicted the guy,

Was rocked to the ultimate extent!

If you promise to serve the Lord

Do everything above board…

Do not keep gods

With Him they’re at odds,

If you wish blessing from Him restored.

–

Ananias and Sapphira sold land

Putting money in the common can…

Not volunteering that they

Kept back some that they,

Thought would fool God’s Holy man.

–

The man who had hidden a prize

Knew he couldn’t face Jesus’ eyes…

With pain, let go,

Deleted “his” show,

From the Bible I’;d say he was wise!

WHY WAS CHRIST THE LAMB?

WHY WAS CHRIST THE LAMB?

Why did Christ come as a Lamb,

Not a lion or the great I AM…

All these things

In Him found wibns,

But he was slain like a Lamb.

–

Traditionally, a week,

Was spent with a lamb meek…

A family part

The family’s heart

Grew to love and seek.

–

Then like the Father abover,

They had to kill the beloved…

Sacrificed for sin

The Destroyer can’t come in,

Bitter herbs and bread to covet.

–

Passover and Easter move on,

Christ’s righteousness we put on…

Put on the “lamb sweater”

And be no debter

To death, whose nature is gone!

So many “modern’ people think Christ was just for men

And women took subservient, lowly parts…

Yet proof is in the eating as the women were involved,

FIRST to see Christ risen again!

Then they told the men who wouldn’t culturally

Believe the women (such as it is often now)…

Jesus had to appear–bringing men to their knees–

Blessed are the unseeing who bow.

Jesus respected women and His Mom

More than any man would ever do…

If folks were more honest in seeing what He says,

Then the feminist would praise Him too!

By faith in Christ be linked…

Christ’s very mind–

In the Body of Christ…you think?

Mysteries revealed

Today after ages concealed…

Thus He appears

Banishing fears

Of spirits who convulsed and squealed.

Come to your Savior today,

Don’t push aside the One Way…

Jews may doubt,

 Muslims throw out,

And pagans shove Him out of their way!

Repdent of your sin and take life,

Not mindless ceasing of strife…

Unlike contenders

He’s no pretender,

Only He paid the price!

–

All who refuse Christ are doomed

To repeat death and the tomb…

Then kept until

All see His will,

And final judgment assume.

–

Don’t think your father has clout,

Or that you’ll work it all out…

Deny the Christ,

His sacrifice,

All you may think doesn’t count.

–

Depend not on efforts,

All have fallen through works…

Only Christ;s

Redeeming sacrifice

shatters Death’s bitter copse!

–

The resurrected Christ,

Son of the Father of Lights…

Plunge us in

Thy blood to win

Our souls to Thee by rights!

–

Sacrificial Lamb for the world,

In Whom God’s love unfurled…

Grant that we

Thy servants be

Kept safe although in the world.

–

Into deep darkness stride

All who deny Christ by pride…

God will let loose

To be as they choose,

Even though hurting inside!

–

For all who will believe,

God’s Holy Spirit receive…

Being fulfilled

Doing His will,

Resurrection to life thou receives!

NAYSAYERS ARE SILLY

NAYSAYERS ARE SILLY

Intellectuals aren’t freed

To accept what they can’t see…

Really…rather,

They talk such blather

And won’t take Christ seriously.

–

Claims of silly mass hallucinations,

And other bogus imaginations….

Only show

They really don’t know

Avoid commitments of any duration!

–

Some religions infected

By human thought I’ve suspected…

See no barrier

‘Tween spirit and hysteria,

Much less that Christ  is resurrected!

Following human “logic”

Puts you into the pocket…

Of folks who don’t care

‘Bout souls anywhere,

If one had value they’d hoc it.

Former pagans and Jews decline

To agree upon Bible time…

When they object

One might suspect

That believers know it was the right time.

Scripture says in Hebrews,

That Christ’s dying once was Good News…

Before the world began

Set in motion God’s plan,

Dying once—now nations must choose!

A garden made for peace,

For sleeping under humble fleece…

Yet that night

All fell from sight,

Every one held a guilty piece.

He knew abandonment

Was nearing and that’s how it went…

Nobody stayed

But all played

The roles while Christ’s life was spent.

Every one of us run

Fearful of god when He comes…

Walking and calling

Our nudity appalling,

Now clothed with the Righteous One.

Olives were crushed–so was He—

To pay for our sin debt freely…

There’s not we can do

But believe He got through

Dead and resurrected for thee!

WE ALL BETRAYED HIM

Judas, known as betrayer,

Merely was a portrayer…

Of what each

Of us have in reach,

As salvation naysayer.

All flesh must own up

To the fact we are corrupt…

born that way

By Adam’s say,

Until we to Christ give up!

In-born sin we repent

And of actions relent…

Only He saves

All of us knaves,

The ones who will repent.

–

Judas had remorse,

Denied the Divine out of course…

Did he ever believe

Or did self-deceive,

To argue will beat a dead horse.

–

It’s not Judas but YOU…,

Who has a decision to do…

Will you believe

Or be self-deceived,

Today is the day to chose!

–

Is Christ God in the flesh,

Muslims and Jews protest…

Scripture is clear

If you will hear,

And enter into God’s rest.
