NOT WORTH THE SALT

NOT WORTH THE SALT…!

Last week in panicked gestalt,

He ate himself sick by default…

Too much processed food

Made his breathing oclude,

In the end it wasn’t worth all that salt!

COLD PIZZA FEAST!

COLD PIZZA FEAST!

‘Batching it two days at least,

Having a cold pizza feast…

Theirs and my own–

Some women may groan–

Though cold, the stuff is well-greased!

(YUMMMMM!)

–Jonathan Caswell

KINDNESS FROM LONG AGO

KINDNESS FROM LONG AGO

Not since Valerie

Has someone done this for me…

Buzz me in

From the office (a grin),

Reviving a kind history!

The latest kind woman—Joanne—

Who does it as part of her plan…

To be extra kind

Is entrenched in her mind,

To help however she can.

CHERRY BLOSSOMS

CHERRY BLOSSOMS

From the Orient

Friendship ties and harmony

Spread throughout the world

–J.E.C.

April pleasure sight

Delicate blossom display

International

Trees of friendship underway

Sharing joy to all today

–J.E.C.

The April cherry trees,

Make glad those buzzing bees…

Who service each flower

Hour upon hour,

Abundant blossom–the bee’s knees!

–Jonathan Caswell

Blossoms abundantly rich,

Whose beauty causes an itch…

To put down

Weapons aground,

And find a peaceful niche

(niche being mispronounced as “nitch”)

–Jonathan Caswell

(New lyrics to YHE JELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS)

Oh…those Washingtom Cherry trees

Are really quite a sight,

Folks visit from all around

To bask in pinkish light…

We thank the Japanese who gave

This wondrous sight to us

Delicate blossoms which

Gently our cheeks buss!

From cities around the world

Come gentle oohs and ahhs,

Because these groves of cherry trees

Proclaim a peaceful cause…

Maybe, like the cherry tree

Man will decide in time,

To make amends for all our faults

And peace on earth to find!…

Yes man to put down all our faults

For peace on earth to find!

BRAND NEW, by Carl Gooch

Brand New
Brothers, can’t you see?
God made a brand new me.
This is a brand new day,
I walk in a brand new way.
While I was still in the night,
Jesus showed me His light.
He reached out His love to me,
And His mercy set me free.
No longer do I live in sin,
All my fears I give to Him.
He is the source of my life,
His strength conquers strife.
It’s easy to blow with the wind,
Becoming hard and thick-skinned.
But that is the old sinful way.
I’m brand new with a brand new way.

A LUSCIOUS LIMERICK

A LUSCIOUS LIMERICK

(in two stanzas or less)

She is a graceful hind*

Whose loveliness blows the mind…

There is no lack,

Front or back

But inside is a woman so kind!

–Jonathan Caswell

* hind…(1)a doe or deer…(see Proverbs 5: 19…refering to the wife of one’s youth), (2) “a female deer!”– phrase from The Sound of Music !

WELCOME ANY TIME

WE;COME ANY TIME

They’re welcome anytime and I mean it,

They often come to clean it…

Watching them will

Certainly fit the bill,

As anyone could see if they’d seen it!

🙂

–Jonathan Caswell

THE RISE OF EYES

THE RISE OF EYES

Cameras going up near

Exit doors around here…

Focussing eyes

Minimize

Uncertainty and fear!

–Jonathan Caswell

PROPER NUTRITION

PROPER NUTRITION

He’s eating a garden salad,

His wife would think that valid…

The large pizza with cheese

Ate alone did please,

But it might turn his doctors quite pallid.

–Jonathan Caswell

ON THE COMPUTER MONITOR???

ON THE COMPUTER MONITOR???

The salad dressing flew,

What could I do…

Lettuce went ZING

And hit the thing,

And I’ll clean it up…too!
