What hours kept
When he might have slept,
Encourages him to keep up this trend?

He likes his reputation,
Of poetic creation…
An employee brought in
A friend with a grin,
Saying THIS IS the guy, in summation.

I offer for any doubting Thomas*
A small gift of verse with comments…
Five poems chosen
Showing talent unfrozen,
Wholly secured with grommets.

I hope she comes this way soon,
I really like to croon…
As if you didn’t know
My talent to show,
The prettier the better–make room! 🙂

*Doubting Thomas…a cliche’ whose origin comes from the disciple of Jesus Christ who would not believe Christ had appeared in His risen form to the others until he could see and touch Him for himself. See John 20: 24-29, in the Holy Bible.
