LUKE 17: 11-19–INGRATITUDE*

Ten lepers to Jesus went,

He healed them and sent..

All to the priest

Showing their release,

Only one returned, knee bent!

Of the ten only one,

Returned–a Samaritan–

In gratitude

His Savior viewed,

The nine–why didn’t they come?

Only one in awe,

Returned with thanks without flaw…

Nine without thought

No thanks thought they ought,

To express to the One that took it all!

Thinking of myself,

Many “thank you’s” never leave my card shelf…

Taken for granted

People feel unwanted,

Don’t think so much of yourself!

HEALING…THROUGH POETRY?

On IT’S SUPERNATURAL,

A TV show with pull…

Creativity

Used positively,

Could heal in the Spirit, at will!

The show, on DAYSTAR TV,

Featured a woman, you see…

Who  creates

To open spirit gates,

Evangelistic activity!

Could my poems open eyes,

Or open minds in surprise…

Could my words heal

Or foster Godly zeal,

That’s something I haven’t realized.

But to learn how–you have to buy the tape–

Without it, one cannot learn to ape…

Those ministry ideals

Like poetry that heals,

The face-to-face…THAT here…I escape!

GOOD THING HE HAD IT!

His wife,exposed  day after day,

To Christian fund raising gave way…

Sixty-four “per”

Was a bit much conferred,

But twenty-five per month was okay!

She would perhaps have  pledged

More than alleged…

But her honey

Kept the money,

The debit card  away from the edge.

Yom Kippur today,

It’s now she wanted to pay…

Securing blessing

By bank balance redressing,

Now she’ll sleep better I pray!

FOUR GENERATIONS WITH ONE STROKE*

A church pastor on TV,*

Sat four men down, conveniently…

Four generations

 God’s recreations,

And each individually!

Depression, Baby boomer and “X”,

The Millennial Generation next…

Different ways

Singing God  praise,

Giving each other life checks!

Early church generations mixed,

Generational gaps nixed…

Fellowship sweet–

No need to compete–

No chinks in the armor betwixt.

As the older showed the younger,

Each grew strong with the other…

Christ’s Name praised–

Holy hands raised–

Food served to the hungered.

Each does their job,

Despite the current thing-a-ma-bob…

Not distracted

From God’s will acted

Out–to the glory of God.

In this divided country,

We serve the One Almighty…

Sharing goals

As supporting hot coals,

Fitting for eternity!

GLORY TO THE LORD!

GLORY TO THE LORD!

It’s not just a TV show on DAYSTAR

But how I really feel,

Getting back my Word Press blog again…

I’m not sure any more

What I did to lose out

But I’m glad to be in business again!

I hope I’ve learned my lesson

Security is tops

I gotta tie my tongue down with duct tape…

I’m better off WITHOUT PICTURES

If they ruin my chances

To tell stories of my Lord so Great.

HANGING IN

HANGING IN

Today the DAYSTAR TV host

Was weary–needed prayer–

I know how he feels

For I’m often there!

Acknowledging that life is hard

Is really not an option…

We are stuck where we are

Unless there is adoption.

Adopted by the Lord

I should be feeling better…

Maybe a good cry will help

And flush the pity wetter.
