Snapped open a can of MOXIE,
A passer-by asked, was it proxy…
For a cold beer–
Told her the year,
I stopped such orthodoxy!

A DIET MOXIE affair,
This MOXIE’s not going to be shared…
Three gone
So three lasting long,
Will have to do for the spare!

(1st Corinthians 6: 18-20)
His turbos going full blast,
Was time to put it in the past…
Let off the throttle
Savoring bottles
Of DIET MOXIE soda, kept to last.

Deceleration’s at hand,
Watch your landing, man…!
Coming to earth
Escaping dirt
By running as fast as you can!

The sign said, “left two lanes,
“Proceed via break-down lane(s)…”
Rumble strip noise
There was little choice,
Late night construction pains?
–
Forward and onward we inched,
Past a sign our purpose clinched…
Sobriety checks–
What could be next–
Would DIET MOXIE cause me to be pinched?
–
The troopers were considerate and kind,
One saw my “home from work” state of mind…
Lunch bag at my side
Not likely “tied”,
I was glad to stop and shop to unwind!

Every day in memory,
For two weeks have had MOXIE…
My soda craze
Is tired these days,
It’s time to stop, you see?
–
MOXIE, regular or diet,
A strong flavor riot…
In time gets old
So flavors less bold,
Beckon…so that stuff–I’ll try it!
–
Used to be not a bummer,
I’d drink it two weeks in the summer…
The rest of the year
My palette cleared,
Til we moved back to that cottage number!

LATE-NIGHT RADIO WONDERS!
–
Rode home part-way with Clyde Lewis,
GROUND ZERO, for the clueless…
Oft mentions stargates
U.F.O. debates,
Bringing the paranormal to us.
–
COAST-TO-COAST AM, with George Noory,
Sometimes tells a similar story…
History, politics,
All these get their licks,
I got home too soon and I’m sorry!
–
Ate blue corn chips driving home
And drank DIET MOXIE alone…
MOXIE tasted fine
It had been some time,
It tasted okay on its own!
