SHORT LEASH

He tried at the dining table,

Two tables, maybe more…

He couldn’t pick up a signal

Till he moved to the second floor.

Level with the Management’s modem,

Swept his computer in case…

It wasn’t successful up here–

He’d–crestfallen–return to his place.

Having done all to connect,

He did and came on line…

Writing this–his first poem–

The Poet is feeling fine!

I WILL TEXT…

I WILL TEXT NO MORE

It was on his home computer

Disconnected from the Net…

He thought it would make a good message,

But he hasn’t found it yet.

It’s been a couple of years since,

His notes he left at home…

This witch had an itch to text–

She’s playing a different “tomb.”
