Today–Department parties,

Employees’  pot luck eating hearty…

Taking home

Leftovers warm,

They’ll have it at home “ala cart-ee”.

Cold coffee and fruit

Is all I have to eat…

Didn’t have convenient bread,

Even less, any meat.

I’d like to order out

But I cannot spend a lot…

I remember stuff I could have brought

But this is all I’ve got.

–

Don’t need to pull out money,

I’m near an ATM…

Perhaps I’ll muddle through somehow

And eat at home, shift’s end!
