THE RODNEY DANGERFIELD OF CONDITIONS

THE RODNEY DANGERFIELD OF CONDITIONS

My sleeping late gave her an air,

And a comment of quiet despair…

You’re back doing THAT,

Under her hat

And couldn’t understand or care.

What I often go through

Some folks understand…just a few…

Who don’t wag their heads

At over-slept beds,

‘Cause they drink a similar brew.

THE BEST COMMENTS EVER

THE BEST COMMENTS EVER

Stacie is a friend of mine,

Our fam’lies have both had rough times…

She was glad to see me

Most recently,

With a big smile for me and my rhymes.

She said they helped her cope

When she felt near the end of a rope…

Said my poetry

Helped her to see

Some calm and reason for hope.

She asked for this address again,

Her boy had a device she’ll intend…

Using to log

Onto this blog

To read more from her friend!

TALK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

NEIGHBORHOOD TALK

Seems many friends and neighbors

Had folks at the Finish Line…

A cousin, uncle or acquaintance,

Most of whom are fine.

This Boston bombing and ricin letters

To President and Congressman…

Points out for us the kind of spirit

That Americans have when slammed.

I wonder if, in other places,

They talk about it as we…

A local bombing disturbs the calm

And neighbors express empathy?
